The canon board.

Inergy helps you before the session, after it, and during it. The canon board is the reason it can do all three.

Here's what it does. While the session runs, the board listens — one mic in the room, or each player's own mic online — and turns what's said into a list of lines, each one attributed to whoever said it. If a line lands on the wrong person, you move it. If it's wrong, you remove it.

What goes into the campaign record comes from the hotbar. Hold a key, say the line, let go: it's saved as your NPC's words or your narration, in the words you said. Your players do the same for their own characters. No typing, no pausing the game, no one taking notes.

That's what makes the rest of Inergy work. The recap is written from that record, so it's the session in the words that were said, not a guess. A line you hide stays out of it.

What got said is a record now.

Names you improvised. A promise a player made. The thing you decided in the moment and would have lost by Thursday. It's caught while the session is still running, attributed to whoever actually said it, and it's there when you go looking.

You are not going to write it down. You never do. Your hands are busy and the table is waiting.

The Inergy live canon board during a session — five player channels, the NPC bank, and the last lines spoken.
Five players, five channels, and a bank of everyone they might meet. The record underneath is being written while the scene is still running.

Voice capture needs Chrome or Edge. On Firefox the board is typing-only.
